BBC Independence Debate

In the week prior to the Referendum on Scottish Independence, S5/6 Modern Studies pupils and other 16-17 year old pupils from Hillpark attended a live BBC debate at The Hydro in Glasgow.  They were joined by around 7500 other pupils from all across Scotland to learn more about the arguments for and against Independence, before they cast their vote for the very first time.  Pupils listened to the views put forward by Nicola Sturgeon and Patrick Harvie from the Yes campaign and Ruth Davidson and George Galloway representing the Better Together campaign.
